Joey Fatone Chats With *Nsiders
*NSYNC star Joey Fatone took part in an online chatt with members of NSYNC.com's *Nsiders. He was asked about the new *NSYNC album and responded, "Right now we're actually writing, and we'll start recording at the beginning of next year." Asked if he checked out bandmate Justin Timberlake's solo concerts, Joey responded, "I saw 2 shows of Justin's... It was wonderful... actually got up on stage for a few songs." JC Chasez 'Really, Really Happy' With Album, But Pushes Back Release Date
Singer's solo debut will now drop on October 21. JC Chasez has pushed back the release date of his debut solo album from August 26 to October 21 to allow for more time to record.
The 'NSYNC singer has also set the album title as Schizophrenic, one of a few he was considering, including The Truth.
Along with Justin Timberlake, Chasez has been an active songwriter for 'NSYNC, co-authoring four songs on Celebrity and three on No Strings Attached. Compared to his songs for the group, which were tweaked by the other members and producers, he calls his solo material "polished demos."
"It's basically the raw idea from the beginning, you know, it stays true," Chasez said at a studio in April. "There's always compromises being made [with 'NSYNC], because you know you're the voice of five people, not just yourself. And that's totally the right thing, because it's a group and you want to speak for the group, you don't want to speak for yourself."
Other producers Chasez worked with on Schizophrenic include Dallas Austin (TLC), R&B hitmaker Rodney Jerkins, newcomer Rob Boldt and BT, the electronic music guru behind "Pop."
"I kind of sailed into this whole project not wanting to think about it, just wanting to let it flow out of me," Chasez said. "And I've done that up to this point and I'm really, really, really happy with it because I explored so many different sounds."

Joey Signed On To Start in Movie for "Read Riding Hood"
"Grease" director Randal Kleiser will take the helm of a movie musical version of the classic fairy tale "Red Riding Hood," with a script from Timothy Dolan and music by Bruce Roberts.
Joey Fatone ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding," NBC's "Fame"), Debi Mazar ("The Tuxedo") and Lainie Kazan ("Greek Wedding," "Gigli") are set to star along with newcomer Morgan Thompson. Henry Cavill and Cassandra Peterson -- better known as alter ego Elvira -- also are on board.
Tag Entertainment's Steve Austin and Jonathan Bogner will produce. The Tag team also recently produced a big-screen version of "Hansel & Gretel."
"Hood" is being described as an irreverent adaptation -- a modern retelling, complete with contemporary dialogue and music -- of the well-known tale about a young girl traveling through a scary forest to visit her sick grandmother.
Shooting is slated to begin this month with Fatone as the wolf, Mazar as Red Riding Hood's mother, Kazan as the grandmother, Cavill as the hunter and Peterson as the hunter's wife. Sam Stone, Daniel Roebuck, David Kaufman, Sung Hi Lee, Andrea Bowen, Ashley Rose Orr and Callie Waterman round out the cast.
Besides "Grease," the 1978 hit movie musical that starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, Kleiser's credits include "The Blue Lagoon," "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid" and "Shadow of a Doubt."
*As of 8/2 Justin Timberlake's album, "Justified" is double-plantinum after 30+ weeks of sale but has fallen off the Top 50 on Billboard. "Rock Your Body" holds at #38 from #45 with 20 weeks of being on the Hot 100. *NSYNC sold 1.88 million copies of "Celebrity" in their first week and are now 5 times platinum with the album! Their last album, "No Strings Attached", held the #1 spot for 8 weeks!
